Deadly attack on Jansatta Dal Loktantrik Party general secretary advocate Arvind Singh

Near Civil Lines Prayagraj Yatrik Chauraha, some people quarreled with Jansatta Dal Loktantrik General Secretary Advocate Arvind Pratap Singh and it is reported that when he protested, they fired a pistol and snatched the cash.

Hearing the sound of the bullet, there was panic among the people nearby. After the incident, on the complaint of the victim, a case has been registered in Civil Lines police station against Khuldabad resident Vipin Gupta alias Allu, Ankit Kesarwani, Ujjwal, Mayank and Rahul Yadav.

Vipin is said to be a history-sheeter of Khuldabad police station. Kalindipuram Dhoomanganj resident Advocate Arvind says that in connection with a case, on the call of Vipin’s acquaintance lawyer Parvez Khan, who is also the General Secretary of Jansatta Dal Loktantrik Party, he had gone to Yatrik Chauraha on Monday night.

Apart from Parvez, JP Pandey and Naved were also with him. Ankit and other people were already present with Vipin at the intersection.

Arvind alleges that on seeing him, Vipin and his associates started abusing him. When he protested, they pulled out a pistol and pushed him and took away the ₹2200 he had in his pocket.

Vipin threatened that if he pleaded on behalf of the opponent in his case, he would be killed and would have to pay a ransom of ₹10 lakh. When the advocate said that he would talk in a proper manner, he was fired upon with a pistol.

He somehow escaped with his associates and saved his life.

Inspector Civil Lines Ramasare Yadav says that a case has been registered on the basis of the complaint and the accused are being searched.

There is widespread anger among the party workers due to the cowardly attack on Jansatta Dal Loktantrik Party General Secretary Advocate Arvind Pratap Singh (Sonu) at the Yatri Hotel Square. The party has termed this incident as an attack on democracy and has demanded immediate and strict action from the police administration.

Metropolitan President S.P. Singh said, “This attack is not only on our dedicated leader, but also on the ideology and democratic values ​​of the party. The police administration should arrest the culprits soon and ensure strict punishment, otherwise the party will be forced to launch a mass movement.

“Principal General Secretary V.K. Singh Raju also strongly condemned the incident and said, “Advocate Arvind Pratap Singh is a major pillar of the party and his contribution cannot be ignored. We demand from the police that this case should be investigated impartially and the culprits should not be spared. The party workers will not be distracted by this incident, but will unite more strongly.”

It is worth mentioning that Advocate Arvind Pratap Singh Sonu is working as the General Secretary in Jansatta Dal Loktantrik Party and is playing an active role in social service. The party is also demanding a high-level investigation, considering this incident as a political conspiracy.

According to the latest information, the police have arrested three accused.
